Church of the Resurrection welcomes Pastor Casey Sugden, Intentional Interim Pastor, leading worship and working with us as we move forward in faith.

Grace and Peace to you all,
I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you as we work together to move into the next chapter of life together at Church of the Resurrection. I believe that even though there is certainly grief and uncertainty during pastoral transitions, this time can also be a time of awakening, resolve, curiosity, creativity, joy, and hope. I see it as my calling to walk with you in the grief and uncertainty and to uncover the aforementioned list of possibilities. I look forward to working with the Mission Exploration Team (Anne Bacelis, Lisa Bertelson, Cheri Frankwick, Betsy Kujath, Brenda Martinez, Steve Meyer, Debbie Schaber, Beccah Schmidt, Glen Unger), Church Council and COR members.

Please pray for this process, for Church of the Resurrection, and for Lake Country as we imagine together what God’s future might have in store for us.

Peace, Love, and Laughter,
Pastor Casey

A little bit about Pastor Casey
Pastor Casey grew up in southeastern Wisconsin and currently lives in Mukwonago with his wife Taylor and their two Labradors, Sassy and Ahsoka. He is a diehard Packers fan and also follows the Boston Bruins during hockey season. When he isn’t working on church stuff, he enjoys shooting sporting clays, reading, watching a movie, going for a drive, or an occasional cigar. Pastor Casey is an intentional interim pastor, coach, and call process consultant for the Greater Milwaukee Synod. He also serves as an instructor for the Lutheran Transitional Ministry Association.

Team Members: Anne Bacelis, Cheri Frankwick, Betsy Kujath, Brenda Martinez, Steve Meyer, Deb Schaber, Beccah Schmidt, Glenn Unger and Pastor Casey are excited to work on the Mission Exploration process. They are aiming for 6 months as the team members work with input from the congregation to compile a profile of who our church is now, and where we want to be in the future. Thanks to the congregation for your participation and support!
